This book had it all. Tender moments, angst(and then some!), violence and the desire to burst into tears, love and friendship, disappointment and pride, and of course - hot sex scenes.
I loved Chess and had been very proud of some of her actions and decisions. I hated her and wanted to kill her at times, but she's such a mess that I couldn't hold it against her for too long. She's one of my favorite female characters.
Terrible is just Terrible and I wish there were men like him in real life, but honestly I doubt it.
There were moments when I gasped at the bloodshed and complexity of the world Stacia Kane has created.
I think my favorite line of the book is "No sharin no more."
Chess and Terrible's relationship goes to a whole other level in Chasing Magic and I'm sure they'll make it work. Eventually *winks*
And all this makes me want more Chess. And Terrible. And more magic right away.
