Love love love love this book, and THANK GOD, because I was ready to give up after "Kitty's Big Trouble." Kitty's at her best (See "Silver Bullet" for proof) when she's gearing up for a reunion rumble with old villains and taking the next step in her development as alpha wolf. This is perfect. Kitty, her husband Ben and their excon/wizard/host for ghost-basically-brother-in-law Cormac, go to the 1st Paranatural Science conference in Europe. They join forces with the alpha wolf and master vampire of London to take on the big villain of the last few books, Roman, a millenia-old vampire who...wants to take over the world. Nothing big.
If I say any more there will be spoilers--but the masterful reunions of characters I'd loved and then forgotten, or loathed and hoped were gone, in a new setting and with higher stakes, is great fun and worth the read. I can't wait to follow Kitty as she owns her rank as Regina Luporum-Queen of The Wolves.
