i love apocalyptic books and this one is not too bad. the main character is not a mary sue, she has weaknesses and strong points, she gets hurt and still go on.
the idea of the red rain was original and all the changes in the planet are very interesting. now i want to know where the rain come from, what is going to happen and how she is going to survive.

but it was very short, merely an introduction to the story, not enough to be consider a proper book.

i was really disappointed to find out that in reality i just had an half of a book in my hand, the other half are chapters from an other book, already published by the autor.

i feel like those few chapters of Extinction are just an excuse to advertise the other book.

the fact that the second book is not written yet doesn't help at all to erase that feeling.

i hope the next book won't take too long to be published, and that this time we will have a proper book, not just half of it.
