Not up to Hornby's usual standards. Written in the first person of the main protagonist - a sixteen year old skateboarding kid called Sam. As such Hornby tries to get down with the kind of lingo such a character might stereotypically use, and it doesn't really come off. Throw in a few bizarre and unexplainable time travel incidents, plus the use of a poster of Tony Hawk as a MacGuffin and you are left wondering more about the sanity of Sam more than the very real issues of teenage pregnancy the book tries to deal with.
