This is a book that I ended up loving at the end. I will admit that 200 pages into the 448 page book, I nearly gave up in frustration. The multiple characters with the same name was getting confusing and I could not get a sense of the book's story line. I now get the sense that it is part of the beauty of this book.

It does come together towards the end in a beautiful, spectacular way. The book is both ugly and beautiful at the same time. There was a general need to put aside reality and accept the book as magical in its imagery. Once I was able to do this, I found the book to be absolutely wonderful.

Fabulous book. Loved it!
