My problem with James Rollins' Sigma Force novels is that once I start them I can't stop. Perhaps it is the scientists with guns aspect of the books, perhaps the constant movement from one impossibly dangerous situation to another - nobody seems to have time to eat, sleep, or even go to the bathroom. In this book the President's pregnant daughter has been kidnapped, and a Sigma Force team has been sent in to rescue her. We are introduced to two new characters, an ex-military dog handler and his dog Kane. They are not members of Sigma Force, but I suspect they will be appearing in subsequent books. Some of the story is actual told from Kane's point of view. The book is full of the most modern (and scary) technology, and has enough fire fights and explosions to satisfy even a teenaged boy.
