Read from June 26 to July 01, 2012

I like Child's new character, Jeremy Logan, a history professor and enigmalogist (that word is a mouthful - I'm still not sure how to say it) He investigates oddities. In this book he's at an archaeological dig near Egypt, looking into strange happenings on the job site and the possibilities of a curse on the tomb of the first pharaoh of a united Egypt. The setting is a vast murky swamp and the book gets eerier from there. It's a book that will keep you up past your bedtime. I think I still like most of the Pendergast books that Child writes with Douglas Preston better though. There's a new one of those coming out later this year.
