I see why this one was a Caldecott book. It's a cute story with bonus points for depicting an interracial family. It even has a little girl playing video games and I'm pretty sure I spotted a gay couple! Wait, that girl might be a boy. I am bad at genders. Recently I thought a boy that didn't even look feminine was a girl. Just a girl with short hair. Why I shouldn't work in schools.

Also, I love that the font matches the story. That's one of my biggest pet peeves in picture books. Great illustrations and a cute story, then they get lazy when they pick the font and its color.
