I understand this is one of the "all-time greatest" bodies of Russian lit but truthfully, I was disappointed. After nearly 800-some (or so it felt like) pages of an extremely complicated plot (who can keep a dictionary of all the Alexandrovna's, Ivanovich's, Tchirikov's, Nikolaevna's, Sviazhsky's, and Katavasov's?) I got a bit tongue tied and tired :) I'll have to tackle it again some time.
