Okay, so this was another book picked up at BEA12 and I actually don't remember being so interested in it or whatever but just grabbed it. Upon reading the back cover and opening the first pages, I was shocked to find it was yet another YA dystopian.
Really? I thought we were through with those.
But apparently not.
I loved the idea of the children of the world having special powers. I would have loved to see more of those abilities but perhaps in later books they will manifest more. I rated this book three stars because of the number of kids that died. Pretty much in every chapter. It's definitely not for the faint of heart or anyone who is disturbed by that kind of thing. The main character was definitely original (if not a little whiny) but her decision at the end was just stupid.
