This was my first Karen Slaughter book, or in this case, audio tape, I've read, even though my dear friend Andrea had recommended her before, and I enjoyed listening, as it was quite gripping at times. I typically prefer to read a book in its original version, but was grateful for her sending it to me in German but had to chuckle at the "German" pronunciation of the English names... especially Kathie.. oh well, I've become so American over the years... the plot line was interesting and a surprise ending so it kept me amused on my drive to work. The relationship between Sarah and Jeffrey was a bit mystifying and it would have helped to have a little more background, but I wouldn't have put up with have of the crap Sarah did in Jeffrey's hometown. But then there wouldn't have been a book...
