Dear Dave Eggers, I'm glad to be reading your new book, Hologram for the King. I wanted to apologize for clicking "I'd like to read this book on a Kindle" on the Amazon site. I forgot for a moment how important the physical book is to you. Anyway, I really like the way the book FEELS and LOOKS. So shiny. So textured. A bit like an old school old schoolbook. And I think you already know how much I like your fonts. I will let you know later what I think about the writing part. Yours, Lurana

Dear Dave,
I have to admit I like the outside best. I do very much like your writing, and there are many good moments and beautifully crafted phrases here, but ultimately I do not care for main characters who are acting stupidly. And I do not care for female characters who are just there to offer to sleep with the inexplicably attractive idiot protagonist. So although I appreciate the larger metaphor (protagonist = United States), I just didn't care for the book this time. But keep on writing, remember that I find you amazingly attractive, and have a good day. Yours, Lurana
