Eh. So I like the writing style, but there were a lot of plotholes in this one. Where did Maggie's motivation to turn over a new leaf originate? Was it the poetry? What about the poetry? So the slime ball Rose is dating at the office is a sex addict? Okay... we only get like a paragraph to establish that and that was only to set the stage for what happens later. Nothing else about it. And, Rose isn't even dating him for real, which makes her character even more lame because she takes the relationship way too seriously. When Rose up and leaves her job, no one really seems to care. Shouldn't there have been more hullabaloo about this? The transition for her was disturbingly simple. And the whole dead mother story? Yes, I'd like more on that please. I could go on but I won't. All in all, if you're looking for a read that doesn't require too many brain cells, you'll find a winner here. But, if you prefer realism in your books, keep moving or you will be frustrated every 20t...more
