A fun and interesting historical take on the friends-to-lovers trope. Interesting because Rob and Linus are already lovers, just very casually in between their other romantic pursuits. So, perhaps it would be more accurate to call it friends-with-benefits to lovers? Or fuck-buddies to partners?

I appreciate that this story began with Rob deciding he wants Linus all to himself. (view spoiler) It was interesting to see Rob's feelings and motivations change as he learned more about things he thought he already understood.

I really liked both of the MC's. I liked that it was clear how strong their friendship is, that I got to see that and feel it and wasn't just told about it. I also liked how obvious and how strong their attraction for each other is--that it's strong enough that neither can use the excuse that the other is simply not interested.

Very fun, quick read. Ms. March is a master of the Regency setting.
