A fun, well-written and sometimes amusing read for the Francophile femme. Though I was a bit put off by talk of country homes and the odd moment of self-help pontification, the book's general sentiment was rather perspicacious. Debra Olliver writes evocatively, and I often found myself daydreaming between chapters about another voyage en France. That and le fromage. Lots and lots of it.
