it was amazing
bookshelves: brotherly-love, mind-blowing, soooo-original
Read in June, 2012

I really REALLY liked this book. I dont really know where to start or even how to describe how great is is.

Picture this: Cinderella, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, The Princess and the Pea, The Princess and the Frog, Beauty and the Beast, Jack and the Beansalk, old Woman and The shoe. Imagine taking all of these fairy tales and many more and ripping them to shreds, and weaving them all together in the most wonderfully, unexpected way you can imagine.

The author creates a world full of:
Fairys (both good and evil)
Fairy Godmothers (both good and evil)
talking frogs
Pirate kings
Magical nursery rhymes
Enchanted journals
True Love
and much much more. And better yet she manages to do it without making it childish or overwelming. It all felt so incedibly real.

The story centers around seven sisters all names after names of the week.

One is a dancer
One is a beauty
One is a Poet
One is a Wanderer
One is a Saint
One is a Storyteller
One is a worrior

One of these sisters is dead, another is a Princess, one is a pirate, one is dangerously normal, one has an enchanting way with fabric, one is more powerful than the rest, and one is the the main character in this story.

They all possess magical and dangerous gifts
