It's Vienna, 1910. A young woman named Dora has been found murdered in the park. They find no objects, no obvious clues around her. The Inspector and his wife Erszebet investigate the case using opposite techniques. There are many characters and clues to solve this case.
Avid Readers rated this one star.
Too many loose ends or red herrings were upsetting. The title of the book did not have anything to due with the book. Where is the fig? The sentences were short. The descriptions of Vienna, Kaffehouses and foods were very interesting. Some of the words were in German and readers could only guess what their meaning. Fig,excrement, cloak, werewolves, thumb and the cloak in the tree are some of the red herrings.
