A People’s History of the United States is a very long and tedious book. It is very biased and left winged and shows the United States history through the commons people’s point of view. I found several chapters to be pretty interesting and full of information that I didn’t know. However, other chapters seemed repetitive and way to long. I felt like it contained too many facts, which overwhelmed me and made it hard for me to read. Some facts didn’t seem relevant to the chapter itself and only caused a distraction. Often when I was reading, my mind would get bored and wander off; thus I would have to read the same page over again. I would recommend this book to people who enjoy reading about their country’s history in a biased view.
