Beatnik Mary UPDATE: I recently had the opportunity to listen to the audiobook for this (thanks, Edelweiss!). It's awful. The narrator, Susan Dueden, is just terrible. She manages to sound unbelievably phony and pretentious AND uncertain of every sentence at the same time. It's like a Valley Girl (remember that? anyone? anyone?) trying to do a play in which she is a British LAAAAAAY-DEE. Avoid at all costs and stick with the actual book!

Mandie Thanks for pointing this out- you've just saved me wasting an Audible credit on it! I will read the book instead :-)
