Olivia, her parents both movie stars, witnesses her Dad's drug addiction and the murder of her mother. She is whisked away to Washington state where she is raised by her grandparents and finds comfort in nature. The policeman who rescued her when she was 4 has a son that now writes true crime novels and he has always been fascinated with the Olivia story. he looks up Olivia intending to write the story, but they find themselves falling in love. The mystery of the real killer unfolds. Typical Nora Roberts.
