Annabelle finds a box of multicolored yarn. She knits sweaters for all the people, pets, and even some objects in town and never runs out. The archduke visits her and asks to buy her yarn for millions, but Annabelle refuses. He hires robbers, steals the yarn, and looks inside to see nothing in the box. He throws it in the sea, and it floats back to her, full of yarn! Set in a cold, wintry setting, the colorful yarn stands out nicely on the white pages. Humorous Fiction. Grades K-2.

Curriculum Connection: This book is a good one for a good/evil character study as it has a hero and a villain.
