A pull-you-in kind of book that I devoured in less than a day. Great imagery and writing... Walls writes about her family and childhood with such love and imagination, a sort of romanticism, that, try as you might to despise her parents and pity her upbringing, you cannot help but see how she never quite let go of her family. You have to applaud her for getting herself to where she is in spite of what she went through. It is inspiring.
