by Toni Morrison
At a scant 145 pages, Home is a short, quick read but deceptively so. This novel(la) may not be long but it covers a lot of ground character and story-wise in its brief length. Morrison's prose is note-perfect and the ending will have you wanting to start reading again from the beginning to catch the parts that foreshadow or connect to it. Is this as great as her best known works? Probably not. But is this a really good piece of writing that you should still check out. I would say undoubtedly, yes.
