I thought the book was well written. It had a touch of Hemingway's style of writing without going all the way. It didn't paint a flattering picture of Hemingway. I felt connected to Hadley and wanted the best for her. That's important to me when I read a book: feeling connected to the protagonist. I also love Paris. I also learned a few things I didn't know about the various people in the Hemingways' lives: Ezra Pound, Gertrude Stein, F. Scott and Zelda Fitzgerald.

Elizabeth Varadan That's a book I want to read. Nice to get a quick take omit. I read a couple of biographies about him, and he didn't come off well in them, either.

Elizabeth Varadan That was supposed to be "a quick take on it".
