really liked it

of the so many favorite passages:

"Someone who writes books is either everything or nothing. And because it will never be given to anyone to be everything, all of us who write books are nothing." (p.147)

"a political book about love and a book of love about politics..." because the two can't be separated in lives of many of us (p. 156)

"What she calls remembering is really something entirely different: Under a spell, she watches her forgetting." (p.224)
