Possession in Death by J.D. Robb is a short story from the In Death... series. This story makes a departure from the others in the series as a paranormal ingredient is introduced. Eve comes upon a dying old woman in the street; this woman takes possession in Eve's body. She has come from to NYC from Romania to find her missing granddaughter. Eve becomes aware of the old woman sharing her body and together they search for her with help from Roarke and Eve's police team.

This was an interesting story. As is usually the case of short stories and novellas, this plot needed more time to come to a satisfying completion; so much more could have been included. At best the climax and ending of the story seemed rushed.

I would recommend this to others who enjoy mysteries with a touch of the paranormal and those who follow this series and author.
