Read from July 13 to 20, 2012

I have loved reading this series and I'm sad to see it end! Even though the characters can be annoying and the plot verges on crazy, the world that Westerfeld has created is incredible. I can't help but think that this would make an awesome movie or TV series and it's a setting I'd like to visit! The story takes place after the "mind-rain" when society is no longer controlled by the government and people aren't bubbleheads anymore. The setting is some city in Japan, where everyone has a "Face Rank" and people who have high reputation numbers are considered extras and don't get perks or invitations to parties. Aya is desperate to be famous, but at what cost?
