I was the same age in 1971 as Quinn is in the book. His life in middle school in Los Angeles was so different from mine in New Orleans. Though I loved music, I did not like all the bands that he liked.
Just finished the book. I enjoyed the way it took me back in time. But will my middle school readers like it? I just don't know.

I would love to hear more about being a middle schooler/teen/tween in New Orleans at that time! Can you share what was different? Or do you know any books that would give me a flavor? Thanks!
