After her parents die, Sydney moves to Texas to be with her uncle, the closest family member she has. She pretends to be a boy because she believes her uncle won't let her come to the ranch if he knows she's a girl. The first half of the book was entertaining, but I felt like the second half fell into your typical, predictable Christian romance. You know exactly what will happen, and there are no surprises. It's still a good read if you enjoy Christian romance set in the west.
