I got this as part of GoodReads First Reads giveaway.

I had to rate this book as just okay. I felt like the characters acted like like they were in their early to mid twenties and not late 30s. (view spoiler) Also having graduated from a Seven Sisters school (of which Vassar is a member), the friendships seemed a bit disingenuous to me. It feels like the author was more trying to fulfill a checklist of formulaic character requirements (the Asian one, the rich one, the poor one, the Latina) instead of writing meaningful personalities. There was also quite a lot of repetition of random details (view spoiler)

Overall, I thought this was a combination of a Degrassi Junior High episode with an Afterschool Special crossed with a pinch of wannabe Seven Sisters.
