I am a true converted fan of the "Roy Grace" books by Peter James and was looking forward to this book. I was truly not dissapointed. Quite a hefty read by his standards but the book was altogether fantastic and I am suprised it has had some negative reviews. This story follows Roy Grace, the copper that some of us fans have come to know and love, and his life in Brighton. There is an early discovery of three young kids dead at the bottom of the sea with all of their organs removed. On the other side of Brighton is Lynn Beckett and her daughter Caitlin who is in dire need of a new liver. She is fast dying and Lynn Beckett is thrown into a situation many of us dread. Breaking the law and saving your daughter or abiding by the law and lose her?!? The story also gives great reference to a follow up with Sandy, Roy's wife who has dissapeared and been missing for over 10 years. This book was well written and each part of the story well told and I thoroughly reccomend this for anybody. Cannot wait for the next installment
