Read from June 18 to 22, 2012

For the most part i found this book superficial and many parts about the landscape and life in Saigon over-romantancised. The main character, Helen, is potrayed as a brave woman, committed to her career as a photographer, but seems to have ample time in a war-ridden country to indulge in q a few relationships. there was too much focus on the romances, and the horrors of combat did not stir much reaction in me as it as it sounded v thin.
