The Pagan Stone (Sign of Seven, #3)
by Nora Roberts
by Nora Roberts
So...I would have give this trilogy 4 or 5 stars if it wasn't for this book, the last one.
What can I say without spoilers? Well, up until the middle of the book everything was fine with me..I usually like a good old antagonist relationship between the hero and the heroine.. But at some point(spoilers*)all hell broke loose, no pun intended ('cause we're talking about a book about demons and stuff like that)..and that made me not like what i was reading..it lost the meaning it had from the beginning..I though it was exaggerated, even for Nora Roberts, it was too dramatic...It was lost in itself..and with that the relationship between Gage and Cybil. Which sucked for me, because i was really looking forward to read this book. Maybe I feel this way because of all the high expectation about it.
Anyways, the end of the story about the Pagan Stone, the demon and the guardian was ok, loved the dramatic side of it..in this part i loved the extra melodramatic touch..i touch it was cool and hero like, even if in real life they would look crazy people. I liked the end, even if, AS USUAL, Nora Roberts leaves us sucking our thumb for more..i would like to see/read a normal day in their lives. She never shows that..Sometimes is cool, but I end a book ALWAYS needing moooore..i get a hangover of sorts after finishing a story i was really in to, after i end it, that is.
I like the feminist talk, well, the part where genres are seen has equal. The author usually likes to show that, even if sometimes i feel it's a bit stuck in the middle of the books, just so you know she knows, you know? Which is ok, at least she mentions something...UsUally romantic books like this ones, are very gender role related and because of it, sometimes they're very sexist, toward women and men. So, for it, i give the book a plus :)

*Spoilers: the three pregnant heroines (at the same time)where too much for me..
