Maria No. I've been appointed to represent my agency's office on the newly created Internal Customer Service Council. Not only do I get to go to the meetings but I'm expected to start a community of interest blog on our internal facebook. I thought I should read up on the topic so that I can speak/write intelligently. Are you an expert on customer service? Do you have any reading suggestions?

Ensiform I am not in the least anything approaching an expert in customer service. But I can recommend Jim Collins' book Good To Great, which is not entirely about customer service but a discussion of what companies can do to improve in all areas.

Maria Thanks for the suggestion. I'll check it out. Another book in the same genre that I'd highly recommend is Delivering Happiness: The Path to Profit, Passion, and Purpose by Tony Hsieh. It's a really good read for anyone interested in how to live life fully. Tony relates his personal story as well as the story of the company he created - Zappos.com. I think you'd enjoy it.
