Heather ;) I have my share of complaints and nitpicks, but for a first swing, it actually is a pretty solid offering. It gets a teeny bit preachy toward the end, but I think that might just be a product of first-timer-itus; and for a book for teens about sexuality, it's really, really discrete. Also, I rooted for the couple more than I thought I would, and they were both solid, interesting characters that felt like they could be real kids at your sibling's high school. The guy, for example, is far from perfect, and I think that's a good thing. It makes him interesting and gives him a shot at being a complex character; he can be a genuine jerk at times, but I still honestly like him (and I don't even feel bad about it...mostly. ;) ). Actually, I was going to suggest that you take a look at the synopsis and see if it appeals to you. If it looks intriguing, I'd be happy to pass my copy along for your review. :)
