K, truly? This book embodies everything i hate about series. I don't know why I didn't check before I took this book home form the library, but now I have to wait until February for the next one? And how long for the one after that? Blah!

My main beef with this book could actually be mostly due to my own reading and writing preferences. I wanted these two main characters together. Of course, it's mainstream, and that might not ever happen, but in my eyes, if it doesn't, that could very well tip this series into the tragedy, a la Mercedes Lackey and Vanyel, and that would be a shame.

I enjoyed the romance elements to the Sunrunner books. I hope she continues the trend with romance in this story, but with the twist she's hinting. The world needs more gay wizards, if you ask me."

Jacquie Vonhunnius I'm abandoning it because the story reads to me like a love story between Cade and Mieka, but I've looked at reviews from book 3 AND THAT DOESN'T HAPPEN. I refuse to get invested in a love story that isn't going to be a love story. I want them together, and every page they're not is a waste of my time.
