Not my favorite Goosbumps book. The two main characters were competitive, petty, dishonest, and mostly dislikable. The parents were not much better in terms of likability. It felt a little long to me. When the first revelation of the big mystery is revealed, it's like "Aw man! Really? Now I'm gonna have to wait again..." It was effective because it was almost like Stein played a trick on his readers too. The majority of it was predictable, yet, slightly chilling. The ending was rushed and a little disappointing. It was ok.
