James I need to get off my butt and read this one. Everyone seems to like it.

Elliot It is definitely good. Part of the goodness lies in its contrarian nature: Friedman is very critical of our culture's obsession with technique and accumulating more data, and finds a leader's ability to self-differentiate to be the key to successful leadership. It was completed after his death, though, and at times it reads like it.
