Despite featuring verbatim scenes from the book, the movie differs greatly. In a rare move, I think I'm going to say I enjoyed the movie better. I will say on the book's behalf however that the he said/she said approach is unusual and well-played. The inner monologues of these characters struck me as true and honest, even if I sided more with the sweetness of the portrayal of the titular Nick & Norah by Michael Cera & Kat Dennings.

Meaghan I felt the same way, I liked the movie better than the book. But I do think that I just like Michael Cera's portrayal of Nick, versus the more abrasive/less appealing way the character is written in the book. I should have read the book first, though...

Shaun Swick I think it's also easier to side with Cera's Nick because of the way the movie portrayed Tris. In the book she's not really a villain so much as another obstacle for Nick & Norah to overcome... slash Jiminy Cricket conscience to both characters. So weird how different the movie and book are.
