Describing the last 13,000 years of human history is a tall order, so I have to forget that this book is a little long and somewhat redundant at times. I thoroughly enjoyed it and recommend it to anyone who wants to know how people transitioned from hunter-gathers to today.

One last note, this book should really be called "Grain, Meat, and Agriculture" but I don't think that is as enticing.
