did not like it
bookshelves: fantasy, fiction
Read in October, 2008

if I may sum up a typical Dresden Files book:

Problems are happening to Harry's friends
Harry gets Beat up
Girl in trouble
Harry gets played
Harry almost dies
Somehow Harry finds the strength to go on and wins
Bittersweet ending

In the last 3 books of this series, this formula works, but in the first 3 books - not so much. Grave Peril was not as bad as Fool Moon - but its still not good. In fact, had I not accidentally read the last 3 books in this series, I would have given up on Butcher and never picked up another book by him ever again.

Since I know the series gets better, eventually I will read the rest of the books - but that day is a long way away
