Almost all of the men in 19-year-old Nayeli’s village in Mexico have left to find better opportunities, and the town is being taken over by drug lords. After seeing the movie The Magnificent Seven, Nayeli gathers three friends and heads for the border to persuade her father and six other yet-unknown men to return to Mexico to save their town. They encounter many obstacles, make some new friends, and adapt their plans accordingly. I enjoyed the strong female characters, especially Nayeli's Tia Irma. 3.5 stars.
