A charming historical fiction about a princess (Margaret of Austria, 1480-1530) and her witty jester, "Le Glorieux". The jester is extremely amusing and very human. He makes all sorts of wry observations with a childlike narcissism that is quite entertaining. The book is ostensibly for children but I wasn't bored by it at all.
