Into every reading life you have to have a little Hilderbrand if only because she makes us want to be friends with her characters. She crawls into the skin of people not who are like us, and gets us to love them. Taking the viewpoint of the wife of a Maidoff-esque villain and making us root for her is quite a feat. Even though I live on the 'other' island, it was fun tooling around Nantucket with these ladies.
Definite choice for a beach read.
