Otherwise known as "AJ Jacobs' Diet & Exercise Journal"... woof. Most of this reads like a head to toe walk through of various exercise, diets, and fringe methods of self improvement - all with considerably less than an empty canvas to work with. Although Jacobs is self-deprecating enough, he also comes across as too wimpy and whiny to stick with any of it consistently. He googles each item (ie, caveman workouts in the park), grabs an expert or two, then tries it for a day and a half or so. The most interesting bits were regurgitated from random health blogs on Yahoo, Ferriss' 4 Hour Body, or McDougal's Born to Run. Ah, well. Should've known as much, but I had thought Jacobs' style would keep it borderline entertaining and informative.
