OH boy. Percy IS SO DEAD. :D with the war coming, he has time for girl troubles. It made me laugh. *grins*
HOLY. ZEUS. Oh yeah, I'm using their expressions. ;D I wish GR had a 10 star rating system. I would definitely rate this book a 10-star. Or no. A MILLION STARS. NO, GALAXY? Yeah, that's how good it is. JUST PURE AWESOME.
If the 4th book leaves me speechless, this book made me want to say a lot but don't know where to start. And what I want to say were PRAISES it deserved.
Percy definitely improved his swords skills in this book. Actually, it made me think of all those Shounen Manga(s) I have read and watch. They have something similar. Like how the hero suddenly gets stronger and saves the day after being so beaten up by their enemies. (view spoiler) But this book really made me think of The Deathly Hallows, HP7.
It's basically revolves about the damn prophecy. Just like in Harry Potter. The similarities were both Percy and Harry were trying to save the world, er, you know. Anyway, They both were trying to save their friends, loved ones; both leaders; both accepted the prophecy and claim as their own. Oh, both have girl problems. *chuckles* The Stoll brothers remind me of Fred and George Weasley too. :)
The difference, though is big. I mean, in Harry Potter, they didn't have strategy on how to deal with Voldemort and his army. In The Last Olympian, there's planning, careful planning, fighting, sword or whatever weapon there is. That is something my mind and blood calls to. :D I like the action. And shoot me for loving the EPIC BATTLE of The Last Olympian.
I like how it end! How they joined forces. How they made the right choices, finally! Those Gods should know how to make good choices! and not be selfish. I like how Riordan made me think this is the answer but then it changed to completely different story.
Need me to say more? Okay, (view spoiler) I won't. Just read it and enjoy and be amazed too. I love Riordan's writing this much. I didn't know I would enjoy it immensely. And by the way, I'm planning to read The Heroes of Olympus because of the prophecy at the last chapter. :P
