I know this books is a classic, and I admit it took me longer to get around to reading it then it should have. I loved it. It follows a young girl from the upper ranks of 1830's society who finds herself traveling unchaperoned on a merchant ship across the Atlantic Ocean. The books is full of suspense, adventure and intrigue, yet I find Charlotte's thoughts and struggles quite on par for those of any 13 year old girl. It's a short book and a quick read, but a very enjoyable one.
