This book presented lots of information I'd never heard before -- I knew a little about the deception perpetrated upon the Germans by British spies, but I didn't know about all the double-crossing, skulduggery, and cloak-and-dagger maneuvers that went on behind the scenes. I don't know if it was the writer's style or my eagerness to get on with the D-Day story, but I felt that the story dragged. Plus there were a ton of people to keep track of, and you had to remember who was deceiving whom at any given point, which made this a fairly demanding book to read. Don't get me wrong, I'm definitely not averse to a challenging read, but given the potentially thrilling subject matter, I expected the story to flow a little faster and easier than it did.
