Everyone interested in the mental aspects of sport, not just triathlon, should read this book. It grabs hold of you quickly and is quite fast-paced. I was surprised to learn not just about triathlon and Chrissie's extraordinary career in the sport--I also learned more about the nitty-gritty of international development, because that was her career before she burst onto the Ironman scene. To me, the most striking feature of this autobiography is how human and imperfect Chrissie seemed. I believe she is the greatest athlete of our generation, and had always thought of her as rather superhuman. I was surprised to learn that she's very accident-prone and has made some blunders along the way! I am so glad I read this.
