bookshelves: general-fiction, asian-american, chinese, poc-protagonist
Read in July, 1996

I like the interlinking stories and am still touched by the first daughter's story in particular, even though I have clearly forgotten her name! On the other hand, it's always strange reading this because it's touted as THE Chinese-American book and, well, Amy Tan's experience is difference from mine, partly because we're separated by a generation.
